Yareli's maternity photography session captures her newfound appreciation for her body and overflowing excitement to meet her baby girl. Yareli's pregnancy has not always been smooth sailing but that has not extinguished her enthusiasm as she prepares for her upcoming due date. She details that she despite all of the anxiety and health complications, this pregnancy is her dream come true. Yareli can not wait to show her daughter all of her maternity photos because they represent the beauty and happiness of her pregnancy.
I lost my confidence a long time ago, until I got pregnant. I loved my body and the way I looked. My confidence came back strong .
"My husband and I , had a dream to try to get pregnant at the end of 2019. I always wanted a summer baby, but of course it did not go as planned. My 25thbirthday was coming up. I had a couple of plans made due to celebrating my birthday. I remember having a lot of weird symptoms, which I thought was my upcoming period. After talking to my coworkers about these new symptoms, they all said “ you might be pregnant’’. I remember laughing and getting worried because I had a lot of things to do before becoming a mom.
I went home and talked to my husband, I told him my period was already four days late. I remember asking him “you think I’m pregnant ” after talking to my husband I felt much better. I decided just to wait and told myself, I will take a pregnancy test if my period does not come after day six. Sunday morning of June 30th2019, I decided to take a pregnancy test after checking my period tracker app said I was 5 days late. I started looking for a pregnancy test I had somewhere in the house, while looking for it my husband asked what was I looking for and I said, I was looking for the pregnancy test. Finally he told me where he had seen it. I walk into the bathroom and take the pee test, I place it on the sick in the bathroom. I walked out and when to lay in bed with my husband after a couple minutes. We both head to the bathroom. We both steered at the pregnancy test and saw the pee moving slowly after the first pink line came up, the pee continue to move even slower , and there it was the second pink line. We both looked at each other and smiled and we hugged each other so hard. I couldn’t believe it , both of my legs felt funny I started shaking. We couldn’t wait to tell all our family. We shared the news with everyone the day after. Our family was super happy and excited for our blessing. Of course everything changed after taking the pregnancy test. It was time to celebrate my birthday different.
I wanted my belly to show, I was excited to see it. I wanted a big belly. I never really loved my body and lost my confidence a long time ago. Until I got pregnant, I loved my body, I loved the way I looked. My confidence came back strong . I loved everything about me physically.
Everything was going great in my pregnancy, until I was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes, my pregnancy was consider high risk. I didn’t understand why?, I never had any health issues before. I was scared, sad and mad at myself.
After everything starter going downhill. Every visit to the doctor, there was always something wrong with me, I was scared to show up to my appointments. Because I knew there will be more bad news, I will get anxiety when walking to the clinic. My pregnancy did start to get hard to deal with. I would get home and walk into my room to take off my cloths but when I looked at my belly everything was perfect and I felt amazing.
After I found out, I will be a mom to a baby girl my life changed even more . I always picture myself with a baby girl, she was my dream come true. One thing I did enjoyed doing while pregnant was taking long showers. I really starter enjoying my pregnancy at 7 months without stress and anxiety. Before getting pregnant, I would encourage all my pregnant friends to do a maternity shoot. I always knew I will totally do one.
My friend told me about Ani , she loved her work so I did check her Instagram. I loved every photo she posted, I followed Ani even before getting pregnant. After talking to Ani , I got more exited to do my maternity photoshoot. She asked what I wanted and what was my goal ,and all I told her was “ I want you to capture how much I love my belly” that’s all I wanted. Now I have this beautiful photos that one day I will show my baby girl and I want her to see how beautiful and happy her Mom looked for having her in my belly. I want her to see what I wanted Ani to capture, to see HOW MUCH I LOVED MY BELLY."
