“Becoming a mother has been the most beautiful transformation I could have ever imagined. It has made me both stronger and soft at the same time. The amount of love and devotion women have for their children is almost supernatural. I am bursting with love and joy every single day. My son is like a dream come true. Every smile makes me melt, every new thing he learns makes me so excited, and every day my love grows more and more.
There is falling in love with your partner and then there is falling in family, which is a much deeper love. When I see Logan with Neo - playing, changing his diaper, giving him a bottle, going to him in the middle of the night, doing our bedtime routine with him, making him smile and laugh - sometimes I cry. His heart and his tenderness for our son is so beautiful it brings me to tears. I thank God every day that my son gets to have such a loving father.
After having Neo, Logan and I have truly become a team in this life when it comes to everything because we share such a deep love for Neo. We spend every available moment together with Neo, pouring our love into him. We have a consistent bedtime routine that is our time for peace every single day. No matter how crazy any day may be, we always know we have bedtime, when we sing to Neo, read him a book or two, rock him and hold him and put him to bed. We come together this way every night, and each time we do, we fall deeper and deeper in love. Our son has showed us that we absolutely made the right choice in one another and are truly a perfect match.
It’s important to me to properly document each monumental time in life. Nothing is more monumental than having a baby and expanding your family. I love to have beautiful portraits capturing such a special time. Now that my baby is out of the newborn stage, these keepsakes bring me to tears. They remind me of how I felt in that time - so in love with my baby and our new family. He has changed so much since we took those photos. I can’t believe how small he was! Logan and I look back at our portraits with so much joy. We were brand new parents with a beautiful baby boy, we were beaming with love, we were also scared and learning how to be parents to him. We will never get those magical days back, but we will always have these gorgeous newborn photographs to remind us of that time in our lives.”
