In my newborn photo session with sweet Caroline, it truly was a joy to photograph her after having done so when she was still in her mama's tummy. To get to capture both of these moments - before her first breath & after - is an extraordinary experience.
In this excerpt, Clarissa expresses her appreciation for getting to relive the start of motherhood in a different stage in her life from the first time. Through all of the writings from many mothers that I have the pleasure of reading, I have learned that the gift of motherhood never seems to go without a life lesson and without the gratitude from a loving mother.
I truly can't imagine my life being any other way
"I became a mother at a young age so I’ve been blessed to experience having a baby and raising children as a younger mother and also as an older mother. Each had its own challenges but the same rewards.
As an older mother it has been just as busy and chaotic but I have been able to refocus and have more appreciation for the journey.
Both experiences have been so fulfilling for me and I truly can’t imagine my life being any other way.
My now teenager has been very helpful with her younger brother and sister and for me, I can’t believe how quickly time has flown by. She has taught me as much as I have taught her. Having an extremely loving and generous and supportive husband has been key as well as I could not have done it without him or the help of my family.
It does take a village and I am happy and grateful for all of the ups and downs that have made me who I am as a mother and person."
