Baby-girl Amili's newborn photography session was all about light soft colors, florals, and some gold for this special princess. In general I have everything here at the studio for my newborn photo sessions, but every now and then mommies also have their own cute accessories and props for their little ones and we mix the two together. It does make it a little more special if you have one item for your newborn's photoshoot that has a story behind it. Maybe something from your childhood, or a very special gift, or even something that you got for your little one with lot's of love. Of course I must add that unfortunately not everything photographs very well with tiny little newborns, but that's when the planing consultation comes in very handy. 

This portrait of newborn Amilia in a a basket is one of my favorites from her session. Two of the props you see here were brought in by her mommy. The little stuffed bunnies were one of them. These cute little guys were a gift from Amilia's godparents before she was even born, and her mommy really wanted to incorporate them in this portrait session. I found them a cozy place right in front of the basket where Amilia was sleeping so peacefully, and their colors were a cute accent to the entire image. Amilia's headband from this portrait is also something her mommy got for her and it was the perfect choice for this portrait set-up. 

Be open to collaborating with photographers and other visual artists you work with. You might inspire each other to create something stunning!
