Starting with maternity portraits, Evlin wished to capture every significant moment throughout her journey into motherhood. After delivering her baby boy, Evlin and her husband returned with baby Aren to the studio for newborn portraits and as well as several of his other big milestones as a part of my Treasured Moments Baby Photography Plan.
Time flies and little ones grow FAST, so I created this plan to encourage families to return with their babies and capture each monumental milestone as they grow. It brings me intense joy photography my returning babies throughout their first year and I love providing their families with keepsake reminders of these precious moments.
After a long wait to have children, Evlin exudes her delight in freezing these special, once-in-a-lifetime moments.
My love is boundless and indescribable
"Arby and I are college sweethearts. We both spent years following our professional dreams and fulfilling our goals. We lived in Boston for 10 years before relocating back to Los Angeles to settle down and start planning our family. It was very important to be near our immediate family and friends. Luckily, once we started planning it didn’t take very long for us to find out we were expecting. We waited a long time to have children and when we got pregnant it felt like the greatest gift.
I had a very smooth and comfortable pregnancy; I consider myself very blessed! I definitely had to slow down and take my time with things. It also encouraged me to get more organized, which is always a good thing! I didn’t really come across many challenges. Towards the end it did get a little more tiring to get around so I limited how much I would exert myself.
Feeling the first flutter was when it finally hit me that there is a baby growing inside! As I got bigger and felt him more and more, I couldn’t wait to finally be able to hold him! My love is boundless and indescribable! From the moment I found out my love for my son grew tenfold each and every day! The moment our son was handed to me I felt this warm, tingling sensation wash over me…..it felt like acid sprinkles mom dust on my body and I just KNEW what to do and how to hold baby and comfort him.
Both my husband and I cannot even remember our lives before we had our son. He has added a level of love, joy and deep gratitude that we had never felt before. Our son definitely brought us closer as he made a couple turn into a family. We leaned on each other and encouraged each other especially when the other was feeling tired and overwhelmed. We have learned the art of patience and continue to support one another as we learn and grow as parents. I am so proud and grateful for my husband’s attentiveness and love for our son and me. It’s another level of love I had yet to see.
Take the pressure off yourself to be the “perfect” parent, to be the “perfect” weight, to be the perfect anything. There is a huge learning curve when becoming a first-time parent and you must allow yourself time and room to learn and to grow. Just enjoy your little one, time flies!
These are once in a lifetime opportunities to freeze a very special moment in time in my family’s life! We will cherish these moments forever!"
